Sion Mission - Visit from Karen Shurety (Saturday 28th - Sunday 29th October)

To help get the Mission process off to the best start possible, Karen Shurety from Sion will be visiting us over the weekend of 28th - 29th October. Karen will be speaking at the end of each Mass and will hold an open meeting at 11.30am, in the Clayton parish hall on Sunday 29th. This meeting will help us to learn more about the Mission process and how we can prepare to get the very best out of it.

Open Arms – Faith Enrichment for Families (Sunday 29th October)

You are warmly invited to St Werburgh’s Church hall for 1, 2 or all of the sessions. All ages welcome. From 4.30 - 5.30 pm.

Mystery Jar Tombola StallThe idea is to take a clean jar and fill the jar with mystery new items – sweets, toys, stationery, cosmetics, small gifts etc. Then put the lid on and wrap the whole jar as imaginatively as you choose, so the contents cannot be seen.

It will be led by; Peter Barber, Methodist Chair of this District; Bishop Geoff. Annas, Anglican Bishop of Stafford; Bishop David McGough; and Rev Steve. Faber, Moderator of the West Midlands Synod of the U.R.C. It is at Our Lady of the Angels, Hartshill, on Sunday October 29th at 6.30p.m.

‘The Old Testament in the Life and Mission of the Church’ (Saturday 28th October)

Led by Father Zbigniew Zieba MA LSS PhD. At Holy Trinity, Newcastle. The day will start with Mass at 10.00 am with talks throughout the day. Benediction 2.30 – 3. 00 pm. Tea and Coffee available. Please bring a packed lunch.
